On 25th June 2005, E61 Croydon fire station had
their open day. It was an excellent show, with displays from the London Ambulance Service
and Metropolitan Police, with fire engines old and new. There were also various
demonstrations, including rescuing casualties from an RTA, and how to put out a chip pan
fire. On this page you will find my photos from the event, as well as a couple of movies
to download as well. You can find H31's main page by clicking the Station Select
link above.

There was a lineup of four TVAC bodied Mercedes-Benz Ategos at the front of the
station. Firstly was Croydon's own DPL1175, RX04 CEU.

Next was another Croydon appliance, this time the station's new FRU15, RX54 OLT.

Woodside's DPL1116 (RY52 BKF) was the third in the lineup.

The final Atego was DPL1177 (RX04 CXB) from H32 Norbury.

This beautiful AEC Merryweather TL (CBY1) is owned by the London Fire Brigade, and is
kept in immaculate condition by them. It is a very common sight at fire shows.
One of the London Ambulance Service's brand new Vauxhall Zafira rapid response vehicles
was also at the show.

Another LAS response car, this time an older X-reg Vauxhall Astra.

A similar car was also on display.

One of the most interesting vehicles at the show was a preserved
tiller ladder truck from the Bethedesa Fire Department.

Another shot of Croydon's FRU, this time in the station yard.

Another preserved engine, this time an immaculate Dennis F108. This
used to be P467C, running from this very station.
