As well as the six standard FIUs, a second VW Transporter van is currently being built as a new K9 Dog Support Unit, which will carry the fire investigation dog used for sniffing for traces of accelerant at fires. This vehicle is expected to be '07' registered, and based at E38 New Cross, replacing the silver Vauxhall Movano van.
