Haute-Saône. Villersexel

The station itself, an attractive modern building with four
bays at the front and another six at the back.

Villersexel's most used appliance is this Renault S170 with
Gallin bodywork. It is classified as a FPT (Fourgon Pompe Tonne), and is similar to a pump
or water tender in the UK.

This vehicicle is a Peugeot Boxer, modified for firefighting
use by Gallin. It is a VTU (Vehicle Toutes Usages) which rougly translates to English as
an MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle).

Another van based at Villersexel is this Renault Master, converted into a VSAV by
Picot. A VSAV is a Vehicle de Secours et Assistance aux Victimes, meaning an emergency
vehicle for assistance of victims, or in less of a mouthfull, an ambulance!

The final appliance here is this Land Rover Defender 130
pick-up, converted into a VPS (Vehicle Premier Secours) by Picot. These are used as rapid
response vehicles and can attend fires quickly before larger engines arrive. Their 4x4
capability is useful in this rural area.
