The rapid response chemical incident team from Lambeth HQ also attended. Their main vehicle is Alpha Tango 2, this ex-DPL Volvo FL6.14 / Saxon now used to carry their specialised equipment.
wpe4A.jpg (36572 bytes) This is Alpha Tango 1, a basic Ford Tourneo personnell carrier, which always travels together with the RRU.
e44-hdc-vol2.jpg (43990 bytes) Also attending from the Lambeth headquarters was the command unit, formed of Volvo FL6.14 prime mover HDC32 (K962EYH) and ICU body CUB2.

Another HDC also attended from Barking, carrying the BAMIU pod. However, like the SSU seen below, it could not reach the incident due to the huge amount of traffic in the way, and it was decided it was no longer required. Therefore both appliances soon left the scene.

As mentioned above, the Scientific Support Unit from Poplar did not even reach the incident, due to the heavy traffic. It was soon turned away and returned to its home station.
