Mercedes-Benz mark2 / TVAC appliance DPL1230 (AE07HXU) is now the pump ladder at New Cross, seen in front of the station.
wpe3E.jpg (44193 bytes) The Ford Transits have now been replaced with these new VW Transporter FIUs. FIV1 (AE56 SEY) is the first of six.

In addition to the standard FIUs, New Cross is also home to this search dog unit, which carries a specially trained sniffer dog which is used to detect any traces of accelerant at suspicious fires. The vehicle is a VW Transporter, FID1 (EU07 UWH).

Former Appliances

wpe30.jpg (25772 bytes) The other Fire Investigation Unit is similar Ford Transit FSV6 (W331 VGX). It is seen in Penge at the scene of a ten pump fire.
wpe3E.jpg (40529 bytes) Before the arrival of the new dog van this silver Vauxhall Movano was used, FN53 UHF. The vehicle was sponsered by companies including ADT, and so carried their logos.
