Croydon recently received this new Mercedes-Benz Atego / Papworth pump ladder, DPL1289 (AE57 FNX), which is seen in the yard before coming on the run.

DPL1175, RX04 CEU, a Mercedes-Benz Atego/TVAC is Croydon's pump. It is seen here in attendance at a flat fire.
e61-fru-mer1.jpg (50254 bytes) Croydon is now home to one of ten fire rescue units. This is Mercedes-Benz Atego / TVAC FRU15 (RX54OLT), seen at Addington fire station.

This is IRU044 (DG53 FZD), a MAN TG-A with Marshall SV bodywork. It is one of ten Incident Response Units based in London. There are a total of 80 in the UK.
wpe44.jpg (56150 bytes) Two prime movers are also based at Croydon, using similar MAN chassis to the IRUs. This is PM117 (WX54VPK) which carries USAR equipment carrier pod USAR1-006.
wpe45.jpg (45016 bytes) The second PM at Croydon is PM118 (WX54 VPL), which carries USAR4 010. It is a special container which carries a Bobcat off road vehicle. Pods USAR3-009 and USAR5-013 are also now based at Croydon.
